Creative Jewellery Making
This course is an excellent opportunity for you to connect with your creative side, catch-up on a project, or use the workshop resources, and learn the NZSAF way. We warmly welcome you to come and enjoy making jewellery at the bench.
On the day of the class - You will need to bring a bib apron, wear closed-toe shoes and any long hair must be tied up.
This course focus on the use of fundamental skills in jewellery making, utilising our fully equipped workshop.
New students will learn how to and make 3 pieces over 10 weeks; the Club ring, a monogram pendant of your own design, and a rub-over setting for a pendant or ring. These pieces of jewellery will introduce basic control in the use of the jewellers’ hand-tools, soldering techniques and good workshop practices, including the recovery of precious metals, safe handling of tools and machines in the workshop.
Returning students go straight into making your own designs, and may like to start acquiring a few personal hand tools for their own toolbox.

**Materials are extra for all classes. As a general guide, the first three exercises include Silver, solder, Setters fee, and other consumables, costing around $110.00 up to size Z. Gemstone prices range from $2.50 upwards.
Note for Evening and Hobby Class students -
Once your position has been confirmed in our night class, changing your class timings and days is not possible.
Payment of fee -
Full fee, payment is required one week prior to commencing class.
Refund Policy -
i. If the student decides to withdraw up to 3 days before the commencement date, a refund of 50% of the total fee paid will be returned to the student.
ii. If the student decides to withdraw in less than 3 days before the commencement date, the student will not be eligible for a refund.
New Zealand School of Art and Fashion (NZSAF) reserves the right, to cancel, reschedule, postpone classes or vary the above-mentioned schedule, in case of insufficient student enrolments, staffing resources or any other matter.
A full refund will be granted to students if the classes are cancelled.
