CREATIVE JEWELLERY MAKING
This course focus on the use of fundamental skills in jewellery making, utilising our fully equipped workshop.
New students will learn how to and make 3 pieces over 10 weeks; the Club ring, a monogram pendant of your own design, and a rub-over setting for a pendant or ring. These pieces of jewellery will introduce basic control in the use of the jewellers’ hand-tools, soldering techniques and good workshop practices, including the recovery of precious metals, safe handling of tools and machines in the workshop.
Returning students go straight into making your own designs, and may like to start acquiring a few personal hand tools for their own toolbox.
This course is an excellent opportunity for you to connect with your creative side, catch-up on a project, or use the workshop resources, and learn the NZSAF way. We warmly welcome you to come and enjoy making jewellery at the bench.
