This course is for the moderately skilled or established Jeweller who wishes to learn the fundamentals in a gemstone setting.

The skill-sets established are; essential tool preparation, grain, star, box, rub-over, basic claw to practice and build on; time permitting pave setting.  Settings and stones and other materials are supplied.

You will need to bring a bib apron, wear closed-toe shoes and if you wear your hair long, it must be tied up.

Class Details

  • Monday to Friday

  • 9 am to 3 pm

  • Fee - $ 500

  • Materials supplied by the school.

  • Setting tools are an extra cost.

  • Minimum number of enrollments are required for this class to run

Terms & Conditions

Once your position has been confirmed in our night class, changing your class timings is not possible.

Payment of fee - 

Full fee, payment is required one week prior to commencing class.

Refund Policy - 

i. If the student decides to withdraw up to 3 days before the commencement date, a refund of 50% of the total fee paid will be returned to the student. 

ii. If the student decides to withdraw in less than 3 days before the commencement date, the student will not be eligible for a refund. 

New Zealand School of Art and Fashion (NZSAF) reserves the right, to cancel, reschedule, postpone classes or vary the above-mentioned schedule, in case of insufficient student enrolments, staffing resources or any other matter.

A full refund will be granted to students if the classes are cancelled.
