PATTERN MAKING 

This workshop is for students who can sew. Students gain sufficient knowledge to enable them to draft two body blocks using industry terminology, tools and methods. In order to complete the requirements of the Unit Standard students must complete construction of a toile for each block (this can be completed in school under teacher supervision if the student fails to complete it within the timeframe with us).

Timeframe: 5 days during school holidays (9-5) or 6 consecutive Fridays (9-3)

Unit Standard: 13387 (level 3, 6 credits) “Construct pattern blocks for women’s wear”

Pre-requisites: Students must be able to sew a complete garment

Max Students: 20 East Tamaki 15 New Lynn

Cost: $120 per student
